Obviously not all will have Rathlin links but a great number in the Greenock area have proven links to the Island. These records have helped to boost the main "Rathlin Trees" Database by many dozen of, hitherto, unknown children. The updates will appear as soon as I've finished adding them.

I have strong Rathlin connections and, in my pursuit for branches in my Family Tree, have uncovered alot of information about the Island that I'd like to share. If you're interested you can find out more about me in by using the Webmaster link.

This site (and much of my own research) would not have been possible without the help of others. The Acknowledgments should suitably swell their clever heads.

The Rathlin Trees contains many Rathlin families from the 18th century to the present day, as of 14th August 2008 the database contains 7031 individuals from over 1200 family groups, with branches in Rathlin, the Americas, Australasia and Mainland Britain. This script allows Registered Users to view, submit, create maintain and download Genealogical information online.

In Resources you'll find all the available records for the Island, I intend to transcribe all the Hatches, Matches and Dispatches that I can track down, at present this area is growing all the time but if anyone would like to volunteer to visit PRONI and make a start I'd be very grateful.

I don't have an unlimited amount of time to devote to updating these pages so most of the content is Dynamic (you make the contributions). I've made a wee start in all the sections but the Site News, Message Board, Photos, Web Links, Guestbook all allow input directly from your own computer.

Further information, requests, question, stories, jokes etc. can be posted on the Message Board and the Contacts form is a convenient way of reaching me.

In the Web Links section you can view, visit and add sites relevant to the Island or advertise your Ballycastle/Rathlin business. If you come across any other helpful links relating to History or general Genealogy you can submit them too.
